Directions: From I-25, take exit 156A (Gleneagle). Proceed east on North Gate Blvd 1/4 mile to Struthers Drive. Turn left and proceed 1/8 mile to Gleneagle Drive. Turn right and the Loaf 'N Jug is in the shopping center on the left.
At the start/finish, you will pick up a map with driving directions on how to get to the walk trailhead. The trail route is on dirt trails and county roads and has been rated 2+, because of the hills and altitude (7300 ft). Large wheeled strollers can complete this event. Wheelchairs are not recommended. Leashed pets only! Pet owners are responsible for picking up after their animal. Restrooms are available at the trailhead. Bring your camera.

Directions: Entering Cañon City from the east on US 50, the motel will be north of the highway (on your right). The motel is approximately 1.25 miles into the city. You will pass a Walmart store and Burger King on your right. Turn north (right) at Orchard St and then immediately west (left) onto the Frontage Rd. The motel will be on your right.
At the start/finish point, you will pick up a map with driving directions on how to get to the walk trailhead. The trail will take you along the Arkansas River and is rated a 2. It is on a maintained dirt trail with moderate hills. Wheelchairs are not recommended. Pets are allowed on a leash. Restrooms are available at the start/finish and along the trail. Plenty of RV parking at the trailhead. Water is available at the start/finish point, as well as food and beverage for purchase. No water is available along the trail. Carrying water is highly recommended.

Directions: From I-25, take exit 141 (US Hwy 24 West). Go west on US 24, one and a half miles to 21st St. Turn south (left) and go one block to 7-11, on the left.
At the start/finish, you will pick up a map with driving directions on how to get to the walk trailhead. The trail is rated a 3, due to hills and the altitude (6500 ft). The trail is on maintaned dirt and horse paths. Large wheeled strollers can complete the trail. Wheelchairs are not recommended. Pets must be leashed. Restrooms are available at the start/finish and along the trail. Food and water are available at the start/finish. Water is available at the restrooms near one of the checkpoints. Carrying water is highly recommended.

Starting point: Albertson's Food Center, 455 E. Cheyenne Mountain Blvd.
Directions: From I-25, take exit 138 and go west on Lake Ave. to the Hwy 115 interchange. Turn left onto Hwy 115 to Cheyenne Mountain Blvd. Turn left onto Cheyenne Mountain Blvd and the Albertson's Food Center will be on your right. The Volksmarch box is located at the service counter.
The trail is rated 1+ due to altitude (6300 ft). It is on pavement. There are a few, minor hills on the route. The route offers spectacular, up-close views of beautiful Broadmoor houses and the five-star rated Broadmoor Hotel. PETS MUST BE LEASHED. Wheelchairs are not recommended. Strollers can complete the walk, with difficulty. Restrooms are available at the start/finish.

Directions: From I-25, take exit 143 (Uintah) and proceed east one block to Glen St. Turn left and the 7-11 is on the corner of Glen and Uintah. From US 24 East or West, get on I-25 North and follow above directions.
At the start/finish, you will pick up a map with driving directions on how to get to the walk trailhead. You will drive a short distance to a parking lot, RV space available. Enjoy walking through Monument Valley Park on dirt trails. The trail is rated a 1+. Strollers can complete the course. Wheelchairs are not recommended. Pets must be leashed. Restrooms are available at the start/finish. Food and beverage may be purchased at the start/finish point. Water is also available for purchase. Carrying water is highly recommended.

Ft Carson Walk

Starting point: Colorado Inn, 7301 Woodfill Road
Directions: All non-DoD participants must enter Fort Carson through Gate #1. From I-25, exit at #135, Academy Blvd, proceed South to CO Hwy 115 South. Turn left onto Hwy 115 and follow signs to Gate #1 (Main Gate). As you approach Gate #1, get into the left lane to turn into the post. As you enter the post, use the "All Visitors" lane to the right. To gain entrance to the post you must present your state driver's license and have your car registration and proof of insurance available. You will be asked to sign-in and will receive a 1-day MWR event pass to display on your car. All persons/vehicles entering the base are subject to random search. Once through the gate, stay to the right and bear right at the traffic circle onto Harr Ave. Follow the brown directional signs for the "Housing Office". At the first street (Sherdian Ave) turn LEFT. Follow Sheridan to a stoplight. Continue straight on Sheridan (Iron Horse Park is on your left) for two more blocks, and turn RIGHT onto Woodfill Road. The Housing Office is on the left-hand side. Take the 2nd left into the parking lot, directly in front of the Colorado Inn (building #7301). Go in the door with the green Colorado Inn awning and straight to the back of the building. The front desk is on the right. The Volksmarch box is under a small table to the right of the front desk, or ask the desk clerk. The start is on the opposite side of Sheridan in Ironhorse Park. Please park at trailhead in park. DO NOT PARK AT HOUSING.
The trail route is the hard-packed dirt fitness trails and/or sidewalks of Fort Carson. Trail is rated 2+, due to altitude and a few moderate hills. It is suitable for fitness walking/jogging strollers, but not wheelchairs. The trail circles the golf course and main post area. Restrooms are available at the start/finish and along the trail. Leashed pets are welcome on the trails. Water is available at the start/finish. Carrying water is highly recommended.

Directions: From I-25, take exit 141 (Highway 24 West), and proceed west (left). Exit at the "Highway 24 Business Route, Manitou Avenue" sign and turn left onto Manitou Ave. At the first traffic light (Beckers Ln), turn north (left) and continue to the Trading Post. During the summer, you can ride the trolley from Manitou Springs to the Trading Post for a small fee.
Bring your walking sticks and enjoy walking through the Garden of the Gods. The dirt trail is rated a 3, because of some hills and the altitude (6412 ft). Route is on dirt trails through spectacular rock formations. Bring your cameras. Strollers and wheelchairs can not complete the trail. Leashed pets only! Restrooms are available at the start/finish. A snack bar at the start/finish serves sandwiches and drinks Memorial through Labor Days, and drinks only the rest of the year. The Garden of the Gods Visitor's Center also has a snack bar that serves food. Carrying water is highly recommended.

Starting point: Criterium Bicycles, 6150 Corporate Center Drive. They have bicycles available to rent.
Directions: From I-25, take exit 149 (Woodmen Rd), and turn west onto Woodmen. Proceed less than a block to Corporate Dr and turn left (south). Travel south approximately one mile to Criterium Bicycles. It is the building with the bright blue roof. Limited parking in their lot. Additional parking is available on the street.
There are two options for this bike. You may do either route, but there is only one bike event stamp. The 25K option is rated 2+ due to a gradual uphill on the return and the altitude. The trail will go south along Monument Creek with views of Pikes Peak. The route includes the Pikes Peak Greenway trail and will go through Monument Valley Park. The trail is well maintained gravel and asphalt. The 30K option is rated a 3+ because of several steep hills. It will take you north through the Air Force Academy grounds along a beautiful trail to the north gate. You will need to have a government issued ID such as a driver's license, military ID or passport while on the Academy grounds. Restrooms are available at the start/finish. Water, candy and energy bars, and beverages are available at the start/finish. Carrying water is highly recommended.

Directions: From I-25, take exit 141 and turn east (right) onto Cimarron St. Drive .6 miles to Wahsatch Ave and turn north (left). Drive one block to Costilla St and turn east (right). Drive .9 miles to Hancock Ave. The 7-11 is on the corner.
Two trails, one event stamp. The trail consists of a 2Km loop around Prospect Lake on a relatively flat paved path. The Functionally Disabled trail is 6Km (3 times around the lake). Second trail passes by the Fire Museum and the Olympic Training Center. For Functionally Disabled walkers, the trail is rated a 2, due to the altitude (6200 ft) and slight inclines. For able walkers, the trail is rated a 1. Leashed pets only! Restrooms are available at the start/finish and along the trail either at the Olympic Training Center or Memorial Hospital. Food and drink are available at the start/finish. Carrying water is highly recommended.

Starting point: Super 8 Motel, 525 Rainbow Blvd. (Hwy 50)
Directions: Entering Salida on Hwy 50 (Rainbow Blvd.) from the east, the Super 8 Motel will be on your left and Holman Ave. on your right.
The 6K and 10K routes provide the walker with a glimpse of the history in Salida. Shortly after leaving Centennial Park, the trail follows an old rail bed and then begins to explore the older parts of town. The town has many beautiful brick buildings, parks, and interesting shops and restaurants. Look for some of the old advertisements painted on the sides of the brick buildings, the Salida Steam Plant, the shops and galleries. The 11K walk begins at Riverside Park and is for the folks that want the view and are willing to climb to see it. The trail goes through a short section of town, around a small lake, along a short section of county roads, and heads up to Spiral Mountain. The trail follows a dirt road that winds around the hill several times before reaching the top. The view is spectacular – you can see mountains, the valley, Salida, and the tall smokestack that was once part of a meat packing plant.
