Start/Finish times:  Dawn to dusk
Starting point:  7-11, 331 South Hancock Ave.  Do not park at the 7-11 while walking.  Please park east of the 7-11 in the paved lot at the west end of lake.
Directions:  From I-25, take exit 141 and turn east (right) onto Cimarron St.  Drive .6 miles to Wahsatch Ave and turn north (left).  Drive one block to Costilla St and turn east (right).  Drive .9 miles to Hancock Ave.  The 7-11 is on the corner.
Event info:  Two trails; one event stamp.  The trail consists of a 2Km loop around Prospect Lake on a relatively flat paved path (3 times around the lake equals 6Km).  FD trail is 2Km (1 time around the lake).  Second trail passes by the Fire Museum and the Olympic Training Center.  For FD walkers, the trail is rated a 1A, due to altitude (6,200 ft) and slight inclines.  For able walkers, the trail is rated a 1A.  Leashed pets only!  Restrooms or port-o-potties are available near both playgrounds around the lake as well as several fast food establishments along the trail.  County:  El Paso.
