Starting point:  Magnuson Grand Pikes Peak, 45 Manitou Ave
Directions:  From I-25, take exit 141 (Highway 24 West) and proceed west 1.3 miles. Exit US 24 at the "Highway 24 Business Route, Manitou Avenue" sign and turn left (east) .3 miles to the Magnuson Grand Pikes Peak on your right, just past the traffic light at Beckers Lane.  Ask the desk personnel for the "WALK BOX". 
Event info:  Bring your walking sticks and enjoy walking through Manitou's historical downtown and residential areas on streets and sidewalks.  You will have many beautiful vantage points of Manitou Springs and opportunities to window shop the artistically unique retail stores along Manitou Ave.  The trail is rated a 2A, because of some hills and the altitude (6,412 ft).  Large wheeled strollers can complete the trail.  Wheelchairs are not recommended.  Pets must be leashed!  Restrooms are available at the start/finish.  County:  El Paso.  Manitou Springs has an European historic style, with several castle structures. At one point, you can see the Red Stone Castle high on a hill overlooking the city; it is now a bed and breakfast. Area attractions include: the Pikes Peak Cog Railway, Miramont Castle, Cave of the Winds, and the Cliff Dwellings. Numerous bed & breakfasts, motels, and campgrounds are available for your stay.
